U15 Category
The Knights U15 category brings together a diverse group of players from many different areas—each with their own personality and strong passion for basketball. Every day, they train with high energy, full commitment, and a mindset of having fun while taking the game seriously.
There is no such thing as “too many players, so you won’t get playing time.” Taking into account each player’s age, stage of development, and individual situation, the Head Coach organizes practices and games in small groups of around 15 players, so every athlete receives meaningful coaching and real opportunities to play.
In an environment with hands-on instruction and abundant game experience, players grow significantly—both physically and mentally—by repeating daily cycles of “failure and success.”
U15 is mainly divided into three groups, and healthy competition exists within the team. However, in true Knights fashion, players compete seriously while enjoying the process, respecting each other, and continuing to work hard with integrity. Through this culture, players learn to reflect objectively, build confidence, and grow not only as basketball players but also as individuals.
・Knights U15 (U13-14):

Through many games throughout the year, they understand where they are now and steadily build the experience needed for the next step.

→Knights Club is a category for players in the U13–U15 age range.
Its purpose is to build a strong foundation and prepare for the next step—so players can perform with confidence when it matters.
In practice, we develop not only skills, but also decision-making, physical strength, and mental toughness—the full “base” needed to compete. In games, players test what they’ve learned, identify new challenges, make adjustments, and steadily level up.
Through small-group training and games, Club players focus on:

Understanding their strengths and areas to improve

Building confidence through small wins and consistent progress

High-intensity training

Individual decision-making

A strong understanding of basketball at an international level
Through this process, they continue to grow both as players and as individuals.
In addition to strengthening overall competitiveness, the U18 category also prepares for participation in AAU, a youth development league held in the United States, as well as FIBA-related competitions. In line with international standards, the category is structured as:
-
Knights Varsity (Ages 17–18)
-
Knights Jr. Varsity (Ages 14–16)
While each group has its own role, all players train as members of the same team. Depending on skill level and development, we also apply Play Up (competing in a higher age group) so that each player can challenge themselves in the most suitable environment for their growth.
Knights U18 is a category that goes beyond Japan—developing the ability to take on the next stage in an international-standard environment.
Knights Prep
-Knights Preparatory (Prep)-
Prep
- Knights Preparatory (Prep) -
→Knights Preparatory (Prep) is a development category for 5th and 6th grade elementary school players, designed to improve basketball IQ and fundamentals. Prep combines elements of both a school program and a team program. Players who wish to join may become members after the required selection process.
To help players succeed at a higher level in the future, we provide careful coaching and a wide variety of experiences that develop essential skills such as the ability to think, understand, and make good decisions.
Prep has two participation types:
1) School Players: Join Knights Club practices and deepen their learning by training alongside older players.
2) Full Members: Participate in all Knights Club activities, including games. They gain experience early by getting used to U15-level game intensity and building a strong foundation before moving up.
Players who already belong to another team (such as mini-basketball teams or B.League youth programs) may also join Prep as long as they have approval from their current team’s Head Coach.
In addition, if the Knights Head Coach recognizes a player’s outstanding attitude, understanding of the game, and skill level, the player may be allowed—within our rules—to participate in official games (JBA registration is required).

Knights & Academics
-The more options you have, the stronger your future becomes-
At Knights, because this is such an important developmental stage for young athletes, we place strong value on gaining a wide range of experiences while balancing academics. During a trial practice, we hope you can feel not only the atmosphere of our training, but also the mindset and values we care about.
What Knights emphasizes is not finishing a play with “just somehow,” but understanding the reason behind it and being able to explain it in your own words—what we call essential learning. Through sports, players exchange ideas with teammates and organize their intentions and decisions on the court. In that process, they naturally develop the ability to think.
We believe that this steady accumulation leads not only to better basketball performance, but also to growth that connects to daily life and the future.
